Media Release | 2021 HIA Western Victoria Home of the Year Award
Geelong-based Derbyshire Homes has won the prestigious 2021 HIA Western Victoria Home of the Year award with a stunning custom-built home in Curlewis.
The win was announced with an online broadcast on Thursday 2 December 2021.
HIA’s judges noted that the builder’s careful attention to detail is evident throughout this home: all aspects of the build have been carefully considered, and everything has been finished to the highest of standards. The floorplan flows beautifully, and the upper level features expansive glazing that takes full advantage of the home’s bay views.
“HIA congratulates the entire team at Derbyshire Homes,” says Fiona Nield, HIA Executive Director, Victoria. “This project is absolutely outstanding. The builder can be rightly proud of it, and the owners will no doubt enjoy it for generations to come.”
In addition to 2021 HIA Western Victoria Home of the Year, this project also won Derbyshire Homes the Custom Built Home of the Year and Custom Built Home over $1.5 million awards on the night.
Among other winners on the night were Signature Homes Geelong who received four awards in total, including Renovation/Addition Project of the Year; Mimosa Homes won Display Home of the Year for the Macedon 424 in Mount Duneed; while Ballarat-based JV Dodd Building won Kitchen of the Year, Bathroom of the Year and also a custom built home award.
Other winners included Claytons Alfresco, Eight Homes, Fairhaven Homes, Hudson Ridge Builders, Lifestyle Builders Geelong, Metricon Homes, Pivot Homes, Sienna Homes, Smith and Sons Geelong and Technique Construction Group.
